Pacific Coastal Airlines Celebrates 25 Years at YQQ
Pacific Coastal Airlines is celebrating 25 years of service at Comox Valley Airport (YQQ), underscoring a long-standing commitment to connecting Vancouver Island with destinations across British Columbia. Since launching operations on April 3, 2000, the airline has played an essential role in supporting local economies, tourism, and community connectivity."For a quarter of a century, Pacific Coastal Airlines has been honoured to serve Comox and Campbell River areas, offering essential air connections that support tourism, local businesses, medical travel needs, and family travel," said Johnathan Richardson, Vice President of Commercial at Pacific Coastal Airlines. To mark this special occasion, Pacific Coastal Airlines hosted a celebration at Comox Valley Airport. Passengers and staff were greeted with balloons and cookies, adding to the festive atmosphere at the airline's counters.
Pacific Coastal Airlines operates daily direct flights between Vancouver (YVR) and Comox (YQQ), ensuring seamless connections to the airline's network of 18 destinations across British Columbia.
In 2024, Pacific Coastal Airlines further expanded its presence in Comox by launching a new direct route to Kelowna (YLW), improving connectivity between Vancouver Island and the Okanagan. The route operates six times per week with the following schedule:
- Sunday to Friday
- Departing Comox (YQQ) at 12:55 PM | Arriving in Kelowna (YLW) at 2:05 PM
- Departing Kelowna (YLW) at 09:40 AM | Arriving in Comox (YQQ) at 10:55 AM
