Comox Valley Airport Partners with #NotInMyCity to Combat Human Trafficking
Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) is proud to announce a new partnership with #NotInMyCity, a national movement dedicated to preventing and ending human trafficking in Canada. Through this collaboration, YQQ aims to raise awareness, educate airport staff and passengers, and strengthen efforts to combat human trafficking within the aviation sector."At Comox Valley Airport, we are committed to ensuring a safe and secure travel environment for everyone," said airport CEO Mike Atkins. "Partnering with #NotInMyCity allows us to take meaningful action in the fight against human trafficking by increasing awareness and providing our team with the tools to recognize and respond to potential risks. We are proud to stand alongside this important initiative and contribute to a safer community."
As a key transportation hub on Vancouver Island, Comox Valley Airport recognizes its responsibility to support initiatives that protect vulnerable individuals and enhance public safety. Through this partnership, YQQ will implement an awareness campaign and staff training program to help identify and prevent human trafficking.
