Parking Capacity Update

Starting in June 2025, Comox Valley Airport is undertaking a major construction project to expand our aircraft apron. This important work will allow us to accommodate more and larger aircraft, giving our airline partners more flexibility and helping us grow air service for the region.

While this is an exciting investment in the future of YQQ, it does come with short-term challenges. During construction, portions of our northwest gravel parking lot will be closed. This includes most spots being removed temporarily, but some spots being removed permanently. As a result, overall parking capacity will be reduced through to October - right through our busiest travel season.

We strongly encourage travellers to build extra time into your schedule if planning to park at the airport. If you're able, please consider arranging alternative transportation. This could include:

• Getting a ride from friends or family
• Using taxi, shuttle, or ride-share services (including newly added providers)
